Real Good Grits

We are a family farm/ grist mill that produces and sells both yellow and white grits, and cornmeal, as well as, white and brown Aromatic Rice, hush puppy, skillet cornbread, and pancake mixes. All products are gluten free.

In 1934, James Graham built and began operating a stone grist mill to make grits and cornmeal for his family, neighbors, and customers in northeast South Carolina. The grits and cornmeal were a desirable delicacy enjoyed by many because of the high-quality corn and his expertise in grinding. The farm and all of its traditions have since been passed on three generations to David Dorman and his son Devin. Palmetto Farms still offers the same quality that has been produced here since the beginning, so whether you purchase them online or at your local grocery store, you can still enjoy creamy stone-ground grits and cornmeal.

Since taking over the farm, David and Devin have added other products including white and brown aromatic rice along with mixes for garlic cheese grits, jalapeno cheese grits, hush puppies, skillet cornbread, and pancakes.

We are glad to provide our customers with 100 percent gluten-Free products; all of our products are gluten-free except for the cheese grits mixes.
